Vice Chair: Helen Jones
Secretary: Fiona Jones
Treasurer: Cheryl Davies
Social Secretary: Nicky Davies
Family Liaison Officer: Erica Handley

Meetings:
Our monthly meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month, usually at the Miners Welfare, Llay near Wrexham, at 8.00pm. For further information about the North Wales & West Cheshire CHICS group you can contact Cheryl at: cheryl.davies7@btopenworld.com or Erica at: erica.chics@hotmail.co.uk

Bereavement meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month - same venue and time as the monthly meetings.

A message for new and existing members of the high school group, we as a committee think it would be a good idea for you to have a meeting of your own and discuss what you as a group would like to do. For example meetings, outings and fund raising ideas. If you are interested please contact Erica.

Would you be interested in having a coffee morning or afternoon in the Wrexham/Chester/Mold area? If you have your child or siblings at home, we would find somewhere that they would be entertained (e.g.; Jolly Jungle in Mold). Also would you be interested in having an evening meeting in the Colwyn Bay, Bangor areas? If you are interested please contact Erica and we will try our best to arrange this.

If you would like a home visit from Erica or a chat with her on the phone please do not hesitate to contact her. Also, Erica is at clinic once or twice a week. You can leave a message for her if she is not there.

Newsletter By E-Mail:
We are now in the swing of sending our newsletter out by e-mail, if you have an e-mail address could you please send it to Erica as we are trying to save money on our postage as it normally costs £90.00 per month.

100 Club:
Congratulations to our 100 Club winners: August:- No.15 Pat Davies – Rossett and No.28 Vicky Jones – Rossett. September:- No.87 Angela Aspey – Mold and No.74 Brenda Evans - Ruabon.

If you have not yet paid for your 100 club this year and would still like your number(s) would you please send your payment to Cheryl as soon as possible as your number(s) will be withheld from the draw. Also if you would like to be part of our 100 club draw please contact Cheryl.

Funding:
Members who receive our newsletter will no doubt be aware of the financial position of the North Wales and West Cheshire Group. Due to a lack of funding we are in danger of loosing Erica (our Family Liaison Officer) and are having to cut back on our activities this year. We have made applications to Children in Need for activities and the Lloyds TSB Foundation for core funding. We will let you know the outcome of these submissions.

Update: Sadly we were turned down by the Lloyds TSB Foundation. We are still waiting to hear from Children In Need.

Do you work for a company who gives charitable donations? Could you place a collection box in your local newsagents or pub? If anyone can help in any way (e.g. sponsored events, coffee morning, school non-uniform day, etc.) please contact any of your committee.

Our sincere thanks go to those of you who have already responded. Your support is very much appreciated.

Have you got any fund raising ideas? If so please telephone a member of our committee.

We still have Christmas cards and pin badges available. Would you be able to sell any of these items to your family and friends.
