| The Young
Persons Guide to Lymphoma: The Lymphoma Association has a new publication out - The Young Persons Guide to Lymphoma. We and they hope this will be a valuable and informative resource for teenagers affected by lymphatic cancer and their families and friends. You can read it online by clicking here , or download a copy to your computer by right clicking on the link and choose "Save Target As", then select where you want to save it on your computer. Our thanks goes to Helen Mee, the Assistant to the Hospital Liaison Officer, Lymphoma Association - www.lymphomas.org.uk - for providing us with this information. |
| Recently at the Children's Cancer Support Group Conference Caroline Irvine saw leaflets and booklets available from the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group. These are free to families with a child with cancer, to see the range available please have a look at the website at www.cclg.org.uk |
| Wristbands: You cannot fail to have noticed how the wrist bands, started by the Lance Armstrong Foundation to raise money for Cancer Charities have taken the nation by storm. So we thought we would have our very own CHICS band done. What we need now are our members to sell as many as they can, if you are able to do this ring the office and we will get these out to you. |
| Travel for
Charity: If you are thinking about summer holidays, why not book your holiday through the above named organisation. By booking through this agency, a large proportion of the commission charged on the holiday will be donated to a charity of your choice. Prices are exactly the same if you book with a high street travel agent but by doing it this way you can donate money to CHICS with no extra cost to yourselves. Contact Travel for Charity on 0870 013 0568 or www.travel-for-charity.co.uk Patient
